Clean Green Smoothie

I’d like to say that I am an uber-healthy gal and only eat clean, organic food, and that this is the reason for posting about a green smoothie. Alas, I ate too many chocolate chip cookies right before lunch, so I decided I should have this instead of a pulled pork sandwich. That’s the truth.

The recipe is from a great new book called The Honest Life. (Book review will soon follow)
 
1 whole cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
2 handfuls chopped kale
2 celery sticks, chopped
2 lemons, juiced
2 apples, cored and seeded
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely diced
Frozen watermelon or a dash of natural sweetener (stevia or truvia)
 
Blend well and refrigerate. (makes about two servings)
