Design Tuesday: Eclectic Gallery Wall

Since I’ve been on maternity leave with O and spending more time at home than I care to admit, I’ve been mentally redecorating the entire house. Unfortunately, as stressed in this post, the budget is a little on the skinny side and won’t allow for this. So I’ve been making small changes and trying to develop a more eclectic decorating style, including a gallery wall. I always thought the art and frames had to match, but I’m seeing a lot of gallery walls that are a mix of old and new, as well as bright and soft colours. Somehow, it just works. As with all my projects, it’s a work in progress. Here are a few gallery walls that have inspired me. I hope they inspire you too. Once I finish mine, I will post it for you to see (if I have the guts!) Thanks for reading!

  1. I would love to see yours! I love the eclectic look, and like you, our redecorating budget is very very slim! Thank goodness for thrifting, paint and pinterest 🙂

  2. I feel like eclectic is an easy way to make mismatched things look good. Thanks goodness for paint and pinterest. You hit the nail on the head!
