My kids’ bedrooms have always been a thorn in my side. For whatever reason, I can’t seem to get it right. I’ve pinned a million images and have an idea in my head, but I can never seem to pull it all together. I know, first world problems…Part of the reason I haven’t been able to get it all together is because I have always settled for colors and accessories. Now I have another little issue that is beginning to surface. The littles have opinions. What is that about haha!? When Belle tells me her favorite color is purple and she wants her room painted a bright lilac color, what am I supposed to do with that? I see visions of my house being featured in a magazine spread drifting farther and farther…I suppose I will have to compromise with them in the end and settle on closing their door. Out of sight, out of mind. My husband likes to remind me that they are their bedrooms and not mine. Details, details…
Olivier has been the most vocal about his wishes for his room decor, which I find really interesting, so his room is first up for a redo. He likes to tell me little tidbits each night at bedtime about what he wants in his room and is adamant that he wants a space-themed room. I tried to convince him to go for a cabin theme, but he was having none of it so outer space it is.
There are some really great options out there that don’t include big cartoon decals, which is a relief. Here is a roundup of 10 space-themed rooms fit for the coolest kids.
No, this isn’t a bedroom, but I just had to include this duvet. Any kid would flip over this one!
