When we moved into our house over three years ago, there was an extra bedroom upstairs that automatically became an office/catch-all for crafting, etc. It was always a mess so I envisioned converting it into a dressing room, especially since my bedroom closet isn’t the most functional space. I originally thought I would go for a built-in closet, but I wanted to keep the budget to a minimum, so I decided to use the bookcases I had gotten from Target and included a diy branch clothing rack that I’d seen on Pinterest. Here is my complete DIY blog post about the clothing rack  I also have a small closet in this room so I thought I should make use of it and opted to store dresses and larger tote bags inside.

Since I was already hanging a tree trunk in this room, I thought it would be acceptable to draw a boob accent wall with a sharpie.

The final piece of the puzzle for me was a (fake) cow hide rug. I thought it would be a great addition to tie everything together and it would help create some warmth to the boring floor.

The missing pieces that I still want to find are a bench to place in front of the window and some sort of shoe storage system.

Overall, I’m happy with the results. It’s functional, laid back and I know that if ever I decide to swap for built-ins, it’ll be an easy one to manage. It also cost next to nothing to complete so that’s definitely an added bonus.
